Saturday was my birthday and I have to say, it was a great day. I started off doing what I love. I got to take pictures of my oldest friend and her family. When I say oldest, I don't mean she's old (that would mean I'm old). I mean I have been friends with her as long as it is even possible for me to be friends with someone. We've been friends since we were born. I won't say how long we have been friends because that would give away our ages. We don't get to see each other very often because life gets in the way and well, we are at very different stages in our lives. My family is about grown and hers is just starting. So I was so excited to get to hang out with her and her husband and their adorable son. We had lots of fun. Here is a little peak at Mr. "J". He was so funny. Check out those eyelashes! Then I spent the afternoon with my girls, Britt and Sky, going to goodwill and consignment shops. The Pinterest bug has bit us hard and we are on the lookout for all sorts of treasures.
I then had to take Harley, our ten month old lab, to school. She will be gone for an entire month. I'm sad but she will be so smart when she comes home. You'll be hearing lots more about her in the next few weeks.
To finish off my day, Aaron and Sky took me to dinner. We ate at the sports bar at Ameristar. My one reason for wanting to eat there is their spinach artichoke dip. It is life changing. Okay, maybe that is a little dramatic. But I have yet to find any better. That's why we have to keep going back.
Well it was an awesome birthday and I don't even feel any older. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
